Samuel Freeman

Mr. Samuel Andrew Freeman, 80, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born in Burke County, NC to the late Hilliard Tilmon Freeman and Mamie Gordon Freeman on May 5, 1941. Known to his family and friends as “Sam” was a member of Clemmons First Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a wonderful sense of humor. Sam also loved to play golf, watch NASCAR, and read about cars. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by brothers, William and Clyde Freeman; sisters, Hazel Morton and Edna Meredith. He is survived by his loving wife, Dixie Freeman; children, Samuel Freeman (Norma) and Page Eldridge (Jenny); grandsons, Brighton Freeman and Alex Freeman (Ashlee); two great grandchildren and a special brother-in-law Derentz Collins (Faye).
