Mr. Samuel Talmadge Boger, 79, of Clemmons passed away on Saturday evening, January 12, 2013, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, after a lengthy illness. Sam (Talmadge) was a very devoted family man who always put his faith in God first in his life. He was very faithful in his never ending care of both wives as they suffered from ovarian cancer. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church for 47 years where he served as an usher and was active member in the Senior Adult Ministry and Senior Adult Choir as long as he was physically able. He had a great love and appreciation for choral and orchestral music. Mr. Boger graduated from Mineral Springs School in 1951. He served his country for 2 years in the Army as a Specialist. He loved gardening and working outdoors. He always found time to keep busy with handyman projects and was very skillful with his hands. The family would like to extend special thanks to all of his doctors, who cared for Mr. Boger, especially Dr. Steven Helman, Dr. John McCabe, Dr. James Pirkle, Dr. Travis Jackson, and at the end, Dr. Kimberly Kinsley (Hospice Home) and a wonderful set of nurses for which we are so grateful.
