Sammy Parrish

Mr. Sammy Dean Parrish passed away on September 30, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on March 7, 1959, to the late Sam and Dorothy Parrish.  Sammy was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville and was very involved in many areas of the church including teaching young people and adults. He also enjoyed cooking in general and for church events. Sammy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. People loved his joke telling and he will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents. Sammy is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kelly Parrish; two sons, Chris Parrish (Erica), and Cameron Parrish; two grandchildren, Emma, and Aiden Parrish; five siblings, Kimberly, Tammy Jean, Timothy, Linda, and Carol; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted 7:00 PM Monday October 3, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville in the Family Life Center with Pastor Eddie Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM-6:30 PM at the church.
