Mr. Sammy Michael Moore, age 65 of King passed away Saturday morning May 29, 2010 at his home. He was born in Forsyth County, February 12, 1945 to the late Edward Oland and the late Nellie Mae Doub Moore. Sammy worked 22 years with Piedmont Airlines. He loved to trade horses, travel on wagon trains and was best known in the community as the Tractor Man. Sammy was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents Sammy was preceded in death by one grandson and two brothers. Surviving are his daughter; Monica Moore and special friends Jerry Leroy Bottom of Pfafftown, his son; Michael Moore and special friend Tangy Smith of Siloam. Six grandchildren: Christopher Moore, Ricky Barber, Jr., Jesska Barber, Jonathan Moore, Katherine Moore and Samuel Moore. Two sisters; Brenda (Jerry) Mabe of King and Faye (Dan) York of South Carolina. One brother; Kenneth Moore of King. Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall Tuesday evening June 1, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
