Kernersville - Sammy Martin Inman, 55, of Kernersville, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009. He was born on August 28, 1953, in Forsyth County, to Bill and Doris Inman. Sammy served in the US Army Special Forces and was a truck driver for MC of A in Greensboro. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Hinshaw. Surviving is his wife, Lynn, of the home; his mother, Doris Montague; one son, Matthew Inman, of Myrtle Beach, SC; three sisters, Kathy Inman and Robin Inman, both of Arizona, and Tina Montague, of California; four brothers, Billie Kelly, Ronnie Inman and JD Montague, all of Arizona, David Hinshaw, of Germany. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. David Terriaco officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery in Kernersville with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2009, at the funeral home.
