Sammy Jose Hernandez

Mr. Sammy Jose Hernandez, 43, passed away Thursday June 27, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 25, 1980, in New York to the late Jose Rafel Hernandez and Andrea Maria Paulino Hernandez. Sammy was a loving husband, father, brother, and a friend to many people. He was known for caring for his family and as a jokester. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time on the lake and being with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Itzel Hernandez; two sons, Raphel Hernandez and Andre Hernandez; stepmother, Rosa Julia “Negrita” Hernandez; five siblings, Gary Hernandez, Rosa Isaura Alica, Stephanie Hernandez, Deborah Peralta, and Damian Jose Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10AM Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
