Winston-Salem- Mrs. Sally Mae Sugg Batten Molina, 94, passed away May 22, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born May 15, 1917 in Wayne Co., NC to the late Morgan Sugg and Lizzie Watkins Sugg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilbert Batten and Raymond Molina. Mrs. Molina was a member of Parkway Chapel and will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her four children, Jeanne King of Deerfield Beach, Fl., Stephen M. Batten and wife Brenda, Phyllis Blackmon, and Susan Agee and husband Thomas, all of Winston-Salem; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marion Minshew of Eureka, NC; a brother, Charles Sugg of Goldsboro, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel with Pastor Dave Rickert officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00pm prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Mountain Top Youth Camp, 1460 MacKay Lane, Pinnacle, NC 27043-8504.
