Sadie Marie Hagans

Mrs. Sadie Marie Hagans, 84, of Raleigh, formerly of Winston-Salem, passed away December 17, 2008. She was born in Stokes County to the late Millard Fillmore and Elizabeth Tilley Goin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven VanBuren Hagans in 1980.Mrs. Hagans worked for many years at KFC (Colemans Take Home) before retiring. She is survived by two sons, Carl Poe of Raleigh and Keith Franklin Poe of Galax, VA; three grandchildren, Carla Jacqueline Tyson (Jerry) of Winston-Salem, Garrett David Poe (Carrie) of Huntsville, AL, Kevin Farrell Poe of Winston-Salem; a great-granddaughter, Rosemary Poe of Huntsville, AL; a sister-in-law, Gladys Goin of Elkin. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, December 22, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 until 5pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
