Ruth Woodle

Mrs. Ruth Bowen Woodle, 93, of Davidson, NC, passed away March 7, 2022, at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center. She was born to the late Lewis Harrison Bowen and Nonnie Loretta Hauser Bowen on November 12, 1928, in Forsyth County, North Carolina.

Ruth was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years, spending many hours volunteering for the Calvary Crisis Control and the Calvary Prison Ministry. She also sang in the Calvary Baptist Church Senior Choir. Most importantly, Ruth loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Lewis Harrison Bowen and Nonnie Loretta Hauser Bowen, her 6 siblings, and her son; John Franklin Woodle, Jr.

Her surviving family members include her husband; John Franklin Woodle, Sr., her son; Matthew Kent (Lori) Woodle, 3 grandchildren; Alexandra Woodle, Emma Woodle, and Harrison Woodle, and many special nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 10, at 12:00 PM at Forsyth Memorial Park – Mausoleum Chapel, with Pastor Al Fausch officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM in the mausoleum chapel.
