WINSTON-SALEM-Mrs. Ruth Hildebrand Walters, 89, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Walters was born on February 22, 1923 in Orlando, Florida. She was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church for over 60 years where she was a member of The Owl's Group. Ruth was a longtime league bowler in Winston-Salem and traveled extensively. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. Preceding Mrs. Walters in death are her husband of 46 years, Grover Clifford Walters; her parents, Bertram and Gertrude Hildebrand; and her beloved daughter-in-law, Kathy Baker Walters. Surviving Mrs. Walters are two sons, Gary Walters of Winston-Salem and Wayne Walters and wife Jill of Winston-Salem; two granddaughters, Jennifer Dumond and husband, Jason Dumond and Lauren Walters. Ruth was blessed with many longtime friends as well. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church with Rector Steve Rice officiating. A private entombment service will be held following the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
