Ruth Johnson Tucker

Mrs. Ruth Johnson Tucker, age 86 of Clemmons passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015. She was born May 11, 1928 in Wilkes County to the late Robert and Lora Money Johnson. Mrs. Tucker had retired from Thalhimers Department Store. She was known for her beautiful flowers, crafts and baking skills and she was also an excellent seamstress. She is survived by her husband, John William Tucker; special friend, Flossie Johnson; two daughters, Nancy T. Finger of Garner and Loretta Tucker of Advance; three grandchildren, John Finger, Paul Finger and Allison Finger Gillies and husband Brett; one great-granddaughter, Caroline Gillies; one sister, Shirley Blackburn and husband Tommy of Raleigh and one brother, Robert Glenn Johnson, Jr. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel by Rev. Tim Tucker. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
