Ruth Cornish Todd

Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Cornish Todd of Winston-Salem passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at her home. She was born in Forsyth County on July 4, 1916 to the late Alfred F. and Nora Jones Cornish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth H. Todd, a brother, Lewie F. Cornish and a nephew, Billy Cornish. She is survived by a son, Jack C. Todd and his wife Darlene, a daughter, Peggy T. Elliott, a grandson, Tim Todd all of Winston-Salem. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Sherry Wilson and her husband Steve of Lewisville, a great granddaughter Leann Kiger of Winston-Salem, 1 great, great granddaughter, Ariana Kiger of Winston-Salem, three step grandchildren, several other step great-grandchildren, a special sister-in-law, Nora Holder and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Neill Shaw officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
