Mrs. Ruth Flynn Shore, of Lewisville, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born Wilma Ruth Flynn, August 18, 1933 to Ernest and Nonnie Flynn. Beloved wife and mother, Ruth spent most of her life in Lewisville as a dedicated homemaker, prolific handcraft artisan and prominent genealogist and historian of her family and community. Her talent, selflessness and perseverance inspired all who were blessed to know her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, U. Gray Flynn and sister, Frances Flynn Merritt. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Clarence ""Corky"" Shore; two daughters, Yvonne Burleson and husband Ed of Davidson County and Penny Yarbrough and husband David of Atlanta; one son, Terry Shore and wife Dodi of Lewisville; a granddaughter, Tiffany; one great grandson, Jacob; a sister, Peggy Bennett of King and a brother, Carl Flynn of Stanleyville. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Forsyth Memorial Park. There is no stated visitation. (Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel)
