Ruth Dunn Robertson

Mrs. Ruth Dunn Robertson, 89, of Advance, went to be with Jesus on Friday, June 25, 2010. She was born January 2, 1921 in Davie County, NC to the late Nannie Smith Dunn and William Ollie Dunn. Ruth was a faithful member of Redland Pentecostal Holiness Church in Advance for over 70 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon Glenn Robertson and her daughter, Glenda Robertson Piner. Surviving are two sons, Gerald Robertson (Barbara) of Germanton and David Robertson (Janet) of Mocksville; grandchildren, Teresa Robertson Anderson (Joey), Mike Robertson (Michelle), Bryant Robertson, Kelly Wilson (Matt), Corrie Robertson (Paul Quinlan), and two sisters, Lorene Petree and Lynda Gilley (Sam); two brothers, Hubert Dunn (Norma Jean) and J.B. Dunn (Gay); nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth enjoyed ""making a trip up the road"" - walking 3 miles everyday with her sister-in-law Elsie! She danced her way into the hearts of many and we rejoice in knowing she is with her Savior. A Celebration of her life lived for Christ will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010 at Redland Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jonathan Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services.
