Ruth Ann Salmon Mitchell

Mrs. Ruth Ann Salmon Mitchell, 78, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017. She was born August 6, 1938 in Roanoke, VA to the late Lillie Mae LaPrade Salmon and Willie Brown Salmon. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Harvest Temple Church of God and a faithful servant of the Lord. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Mitchell; one son, Robert Mitchell; three grandchildren; and eleven siblings. She is survived by five children: Sharon Westmoreland, Danny Mitchell, Willie Mitchell, Tamela Hull, and Cindy Huie Cheetham; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Daniel Salmon, Rebecca Williams, and Ruby Parks. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Harvest Temple Church of God with Pastors Rob Sizemore and Kenneth Ayers officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bill Hull to assist in the purchase of a grave marker.
