KIRKMAN - RURAL HALL
Ms. Ruth Armstrong Kirkman passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 18, 1937 to the late Turner Dewey Armstrong and Margaret Frances Land Armstrong. Ms. Kirkman retired from AT&T with 27 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. Ms. Kirkman loved people and helping others. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, crafting, fishing, dressing up and shopping (especially for shoes).
In addition to her parents, Ms. Kirkman was preceded in death by one brother, Buddy Armstrong; and two sisters, Frances Collins and Jane Dodson. She is survived by her children: Bonnie & Michael Austin; Lawana & Ron Schulze, Buddy & Kathy Kirkman, and Kerry Kirkman; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Cherise Long; and also, several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 8 at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville in the Family Life Center with the Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
