Ruth Burchette Haynes

KERNERSVILLE - Ruth Burchette Haynes, 69, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 4, 1942 in Wilkes Co. to the late Joseph Parker and Easter Anthony Burchette. Ruth was an active member of Union Cross Baptist Church and worked for Guilford County Health Dept. for over 17 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, J.P. Burchette and sister, Betty Jo Moore. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Jerry Dean Haynes of the home; daughter, Deneen Haynes of Greensboro; son, Bryan Haynes and wife, Amy of West Palm Beach, FL; four sisters, Vina Childress, Sue Forester, Idesta Shumate, Maggie Moore; two brothers, Johnny and Claude Burchette. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:30 am Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Union Cross Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Ashworth officiating. A Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 pm in Mountlawn Memorial Park in North Wilkesboro. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Friday, June 3, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
