Ruth Mayberry Hauser

Ruth Mayberry Hauser, 90, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. 

Mrs. Hauser was born February 6, 1935, in Alexander County, to Fred Garfield Mayberry and Era Brewer Mayberry. She was a member at Southfork Baptist Church for 35 years and later became a member of Clemmons Moravian Church. Ruth retired from R.J. Reynolds as an Executive Secretary after 35 years of service and spent a lot of her free time traveling all over the U.S. with her husband, Charles “Tuffy”. She adored her grandchildren, and enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds whenever she was able. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Hauser; and her daughter, Yvonne Hauser. 

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kenneth Hauser; four grandchildren, Steven Hauser (Gretchen), Casey Hauser (Tara), Sarah Hauser, Zach Wagner; and three great-grandchildren, Ariana Hauser, Emily Hauser, and Susanna Hauser. 

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Chris Thore of Clemmons Moravian Church officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, February 21, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
