Ruth Naomi Reynolds Hartle

Ruth Naomi Reynolds Hartle died peacefully on May 7th, 2015 surrounded by her loving caregivers and family at the Vienna Village Assisted Living. She was born December 21, 1923 in Lewisville, NC to Lamb Archibald and Bessie Sara Jane Binkley Reynolds. Ruthie was a graduate of Lewisville School and attended Wake Forest. ""Ruthie"" as she was affectionately called spent her days serving others whether it was serving her community, her church, her family, or her friends. The things that brought her great joy were singing in her church choir, gardening, loving animals, loving nature, and being a contribution to the world. She served her church in many capacities: Chairperson of the Cemetery Committee, President of the United Methodist Women, Circle 1, Historical Committee, Administrative Board Member, and lifelong choir member of Lewisville United Methodist Church. Her community acts of service included the Lewisville Historical Society, The Lewisville Library, the Nissen House Restoration, Meals on Wheels and the Humane Society. ""Ruthie"" began her professional career with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, and was an officer with the L.A. Reynolds Company and its affiliates until 2007 when she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents and her six brothers Galloway (Buck), Frank, Thomas, Porter, Daniel, and Herbert Reynolds. ""Ruthie"" is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends; a lifelong friend, Mary Alice Warren, and a loving ""angel"" Betty Wyatt who blessed our family. A special thank you and gratitude for all the love and support the caregivers and staff at the Vienna Village gave our dear ""Ruthie"" and her family. The Celebration of Life for ""Ruthie"" will take place Sunday, May 10, 2015, at 6:00 PM at Lewisville United Methodist Church, 6290 Shallowford Road, Lewisville, NC. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. Family and friends are welcome.
