Ms. Ruth Elizabeth ""Libby"" Cooper Dorsett, 61, passed away March 23, 2011 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born August 25, 1949 in Forsyth County to Ruth Sink Cooper and the late N. L. ""Shorty"" Cooper, Sr. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Everett ""Robbie"" Dorsett, Jr. She loved Jesus and will always be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had been employed at the historic Acadia Grill. Ms. Dorsett is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Decker and husband Mark; her mother, Ruth Sink Cooper; four grandsons, Robert E. ""Trey"" Dorsett III, Christopher E. Decker, Jordan Decker, and Carey Decker; a sister, Donna ""Bunny"" Cooper; three brothers, N. L. ""Sonny"" Cooper, Jr., Larry Cooper and wife Shenelia, and Gary Cooper; nieces and nephews, Tracy, Aaron, Brandon, Mitchell, Stacy, and Cody as well as other extended nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Cooper Family Cemetery with the Rev. G. Thomas Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the staff at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for the compassion and care that was given to Libby.
