Ruth Chappell

Mrs. Ruth Joyce Chappell, 83, of Clemmons, NC, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022. Mrs. Chappell was born October 23, 1938, in Forsyth County to the late Brady and Ruth Fulp Joyce. Mrs. Chappell was a member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church. Ruth enjoyed cooking and she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chappell was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Clifton Chappell; grandson, Joseph Casey; sister, Betty Petticord. Mrs. Chappell is survived by her daughter, Pam Casey (Greg); granddaughter, Lauren Sollenberger (Daniel); three great-granddaughters, Elsa Casey, Cora Casey, and Helena Casey; brother, Bill Joyce; sister, Eva Beeson. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 9, 2022, at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Perdue and Rev. Greg Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Harmony Grove United Methodist Church, 5041 Styers Ferry Rd., Lewisville, NC 27023.
