Ruth Vaughn Brown

Mrs. Ruth Vaughn Brown, 92, of Lewisville passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 22, 1919 in Forsyth County to Grover Edward and Maude Solomon Vaughn. Mrs. Brown was retired from Carolina Narrow Fabric Company with 30 years of service and was an active member at Lewisville Baptist Church for 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Jack Brown. Surviving are a daughter, Vicky B. Hyland, of Hickory; two grandchildren, Dawnelle Hyland, of Durham and Brian L. Hyland (Nicole) of Pleaston, CA; a special ""foster"" daughter, Becki Malone (Mike) of Piqua, Ohio; a special niece, Kim Brockwell and a special nephew, Doug Coe and wife, Emily. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at Lewisville Baptist Church with Rev. Jo Bjorling officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
