Ruth Bradley Bovender

Mrs. Ruth Bradley Bovender, 94, of Kernersville, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born June 27, 1917 in Buncombe County to Curtis E. Bradley and Alice Blankenship Bradley. Mrs. Bovender was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and retired from Forsyth Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.S. ""Mutt"" Bovender; two sisters, Eva Bradley and Malene B. Mackie; four brothers, Govan M. Bradley, Ernest E. Bradley, Donald W. Bradley and Eugene H. Bradley. Surviving are a son, Walter Bovender (Faye) of Kernersville; a granddaughter, Tammy White (Mike); two grandsons, Grey Bovender and Mark Bovender (Renee'); two great granddaughters, Natalie Bovender and Samantha White; three great grandsons, Matt Bovender, Zach Bovender and Ethan White; two nephews, Larry Mackie and Roger Mackie (Phyllis) and a niece, Juanita Fletcher. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Special thank you to Larry Mackie for all his special care.
