Russell Walter Stigall

KERNERSVILLE-Russell Walter Stigall, 80, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born November 5, 1929 in Forsyth Co. to the late Calvin and Lettie Everett Stigall. Mr. Stigall was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church for over 60 years. He retired from Container Corp. of America after many years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Helen Robbins Stigall; two brothers; and five sisters. Surviving are his son, Stanley Stigall and wife, Delia of Kernersville; one brother, Everett Stigall of North Wilkesboro; one granddaughter, Margie; and three great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Carter and Rev. Bill Parham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:30 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
