Russell Lee Osborne

Kernersville - Russell Lee Osborne, 82, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Trinity Glen Nursing and Rehab. Russell was born July 24, 1933 in Wise County, VA to Roy James and Sarah Elizabeth McReynolds Osborne. Russell retired from Goodyear Tire in 1998 after many years of service and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Osborne; and a sister, Joyce Boyd. Surviving are his daughter, Debra (Roger) Motsinger of Kernersville; two sons, Jeffery (Sonja) Osborne of Lewisville, and Marty (Donna) Osborne of Winston-Salem; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Max (Lillian) Osborne and Neil Osborne; and three sisters, Rita O. Dotson, Irene Osborne, and Shirley (Jim) White. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at House of Prayer Free Will Baptist Church in Kernersville with Rev. Carlee Stallard and Rev. Roger Motsinger officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
