Ruby Young

Mrs. Ruby Mae Tackett Young, 69, passed away unexpectedly at her home, on Friday, April 13, 2018. She was born Tazwell Co., VA on November 6, 1948 the daughter of the late William Tackett and Lydia Ethel McGuire Tackett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Young, Sr.; and four brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Hopkins (Howard); a son, Edgar Young, Jr. (Dawn); three grandchildren, Lydia D. Potts, Ryan P. Hopkins and Abigail F. Hopkins; two sisters, Betty Childress, Mary Williams; one brother, Buddy Tackett, Sr. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, April 17, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
