Ruby Pearl Worrell

Mrs. Ruby Pearl Worrell, 76, passed away at home May 29, 2010. Ruby was born in Yadkin County to Stantford and Dolly Hutchins. She was retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company and Wachovia Mortgage. Ruby was a wonderful gospel singer for 40+ years. Survivors are her husband, Paul M. Worrell; one brother, Hobert Ray Hutchins both of Winston-Salem; and one goddaughter, Tawana Blakley Dunn of New Bern. A Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Eric Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, June 1, 2010 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to send a special thanks to all those who loved and cared for Ruby.
