Ruby Mae Sykes West

West-Mrs. Ruby Sykes West, 81 of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County to the late Joseph Wiley Sykes and Ada Tate Hayes Sykes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. West, Jr. and her six brothers and two sisters. Mrs. West retired from Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation on Stratford Rd. on June 20, 1986 with 23 years of service. She is survived by her children, Edward F. West III and wife Cynthia of Concord, Deborah West Marimpietri and husband Tony of Chapel Hill, and Gary Stephen West and companion Pat of Clemmons; grandchildren, Kelley, Sean, Lindsay, Craig, and Taylor; a great-granddaughter, Madison Bull; a sister, Louise Boyles; a brother, Charlie Sykes; special nieces and nephews, Patsy and Harold, Gene and Theresa, and J.W.; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. A private graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Parklawn Memorial Park with the Rev. David Smith officiating. There is no visitation.
