Mrs. Ruby Pearce Tyler, 91, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born March 9, 1918 in Dillon County, SC to James Colon and Nellie Stanton Pearce. Mrs. Tyler was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was a Registered Nurse and was retired from Baptist Hospital after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Tyler, four brothers and two sisters. Surviving are one daughter, Cindy St. Clair of Fayetteville; three sons, Edward Monroe Tyler, Richard Paul Tyler and William Pearce Tyler, all of California; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel Allen of Piedmont, SC, Jane Nelson of Greensboro, and Ann Pearce of Paraguay, South America; and one brother, Rev. Pat Pearce and wife Lessie of Hickory, and a sister-in-law Ruth Pearce of Winston Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 3 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor W. Kevin Conley officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. Friday at Lafayette Memorial Park, 2301 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.The family is especially grateful to the following for their compassion and encouragement to Ruby: Pastor Kevin Conley and loving members of Covenant Presbyterian Church; the caring staff of Clemmons Nursing and Rehab Center; Dr Charles Stinson and the Palliative Care Staff of Forsyth Medical Center; Dr Mark P.
