Ruby Gray Tuttle

Mrs. Ruby Gray Tuttle, 95, of Kernersville, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Kernersville Medical Center.

She was born February 17, 1919 in Stokes County to William Madison and Mary Francis Rutledge Tuttle. Mrs. Tuttle attended First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 72 years, James Vernon Tuttle, Sr.; and a grandson.

Surviving are one daughter, Patsy Jean Tuttle Nixon of Winston-Salem; three sons, James Vernon Tuttle, Jr. and wife Shirley of Indialantic, FL, Ronald Gray Tuttle and wife Barbara of Kernersville and Roy Scott Tuttle and wife Tracie of Winston-Salem; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a special older cousin, Mary Tuttle Matthews of Kernersville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Rosebud Christian Church in Walnut Cove with the Rev. Tim Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
