Mrs. Ruby Little Turpin, 87, of W-S, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County on December 14, 1920 to the late George Cletus and Nigera Everhart Little. Mrs. Turpin was a lifelong member of Linville Forest Church of Christ. She retired from Mother & Daughter Women's Clothing Store. She also volunteered at Forsyth Medical Center for several years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Mrs. Turpin was preceded in death by her husbands, June Robert Knight and Charlie Turpin; brother, G.C. Little; and two sisters, Dot Vogler and Della Rothrock. She is survived by a daughter, Maria Knight Fairchild and her husband Tim; a son, Charles Kenneth Turpin; 3 grandchildren, David Alexander Gurley and his wife Wendy, June Michelle Fogle and her husband Bobby and Charles Taylor Turpin. Also surviving are 4 great-grandchildren, Christopher and Kaitlin Gurley and Brett and Tatum Fogle and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Linville Forest Church of Christ with Minister, Tony Tarole officiating. Mrs. Turpin will lie-in-state 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
