Ruby Peterson Towery

Mrs. Ruby Peterson Towery, 84, went to meet the Lord on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. She was born December 1, 1927 to Noah and Flora Peterson. Mrs. Towery was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. She greatly enjoyed her Sunday school class and her church. Mrs. Towery was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bob, Gene and Joseph Peterson; sisters, Ruth Peterson and Juanita Martin and a grandson, Scott Thompson. Surviving are her husband, William Myles Towery of the home; three children, Janice Thompson, Mike Towery and wife Judy and Scott Towery and wife Kim; grandchildren, Sandi Graham and husband Blease, Mollie Downey and husband Neel, Laura Capps and husband Matt, Jessica Towery, Jacob Towery and Ben Towery; five great grandchildren, Cole, Scott and Michael Graham, Emma Downey and Solomon Capps; sisters, Betty Rogers and husband David, Ann Lawter and husband Wayne; brothers, Ralph Peterson and wife Sarah, Max Peterson and wife Beverly and John Peterson and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Center Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Corts and Rev. Matt Capps officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 prior to the service at the church.
