Ruby Marie Taylor Stimpson

Mrs. Ruby Marie Taylor Stimpson, 77, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born October 7, 1934 in Forsyth County to Annie Tedder and Evan A. Taylor. Mrs. Stimpson retired from R.J. Reynolds. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church where she served as a secretary following her retirement. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Stimpson; son, Alan J. Stimpson; infant son, Christopher; two sisters, Frances Baity and Carrie Vestal. She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Hammonds and husband Fred of Lewisville; three grandchildren, Sally Alicia Hammonds, Eric Joel Hammonds, Joseph Donald Stimpson; a brother, Jimmy Taylor and wife Anne of East Bend; daughter-in-law, Lee Anne Stimpson of Lewisville; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Elmore officiating. The family will receive friend from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
