Ruby Price Speer

Mrs. Ruby Holleman Price Speer, 93, passed away July 29, 2016. She was born March 31, 1923 in Yadkin County to the late Lonnie Garfield Holleman and Pearl Macemore Holleman. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Wesley Price, Sr. and her second husband, Clarence R. Speer. She was also preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Mrs. Speer was retired from AT&T with 39 years of service. She is survived by her sons, Hubert Price (Doris) and Terry Price (Teresa); her step-children, Ricky Speer, Jackie Bennett, Vickie Barts, and Phyllis Leiternan; her brother, Henry G. Holleman (Marion) and her sister, Edith Messer. She is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and seven step-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Terry Myers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
