Ruby Emma Hooker Overby

Ruby Emma Overby, 86, of Winston-Salem, NC went to be with the Lord April 12th, 2011. She was born June 10th, 1924 in Summerfield, North Carolina to Zeb Hooker and Flossie Heath Hooker.
She was married in High Point, North Carolina to her husband of thirty years Roscoe Overby. She was a devout Christian of the Baptist Church.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by one son: Gary Overby and his wife Joyce of King, N. C.; two daughters: Deborah Everett and her husband Gary of Kernersville, N. C. and Gail Moore and her husband Mark of Tulsa, OK.; one brother: Ralph Hooker and his wife Louise of Summerfield, N. C., one sister, Ann Wynne of Coral Springs, FL; two grandchildren: Mark Moore, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX and Maria Moore of Scott, AR. also many nieces, nephews and extended family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
