Ruby Vestal Miller

Mrs. Ruby Vestal Miller passed away Sunday evening February 17, 2013 at Village Care of King. She was born on April 12, 1931 in Yadkin County to the late Earl and Marie Vestal. Ruby was a member and Sunday school teacher at Fraternity Church of the Brethren. She retired from Sara lee Hosiery with 40 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles William Miller; granddaughter Jessica Miller; brothers Jim Vestal, Minor Vestal and Dallas Vestal; and sister Lou Strickland. Ruby is survived by three sons Darrell Miller (Ligaya), Ronnie Miller (Mary), Donnie Miller (Scarlett); two daughters Sherri Flinchum (Ron), and Tonja Miller; seven grandchildren Bruce Manu (Michelle), Chris Miller, Daniel Roberts, Jodie Roberts, Nate Miller, Tyler Miller, Georgia Miller, and Will Miller; two great-grandchildren Asiah Manu and Milan Manu; four sisters Ruth Leonard, Minnie Lineberry, Beulah Matthews, and Sally Perry; special friends Peggy Chappell, and Louise Simmons. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday February 20, 2013 at Fraternity Church of the Brethren with Pastor David Kindy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, February 19, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Passero and staff, and Village Care of King. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Charity of the donor's choice.
