Ruby Matlock

Newberry – Ruby Alice Beck Matlock, 94, passed away peacefully at her home on December 21, 2020. She was born on December 18, 1926 to the late Austin and Maggie Bennett Beck. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Charles V. Matlock; and ten brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memories are her six daughters, Brenda Mitchell, Linda Baird, Helen Klapp, Wanda Hoover, Patricia Matlock, and Joyce Dowell; and one son, Charles Matlock. A private family service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for everyone to donate to the American Cancer Society in Greensboro, 7027 Albert Pick Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
