Ruby Irene Shields Marshall

Mrs. Ruby Irene Shields Marshall, 77, beloved wife of Chester Marshall, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born July 26, 1937 in Guilford Co. the daughter of the late Wesley Virgil Shields and Florence Mae Merris Shields. Mrs. Marshall was a member of Marshall Baptist Church and was in nursing for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter; Judy Irene Knight and two brothers; Roy Shields and W.A. Shields. Mrs. Marshall is survived by her husband; Chester Marshall of the home, her children; Lynn Warzinski (Jeff) of Kernersville, Debbie Branch (Billy) of Belews Creek, Bonnie Winters (Jim) of Atlanta, GA and Larry Marshall (Kathy) of Atlanta, GA., five grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, three sisters; Mildred Robertson of High Point, Verlee Underwood of High Point and Mary Ann Minery of Fletcher, NC, one brother; Wade Shields (Irene) of High Point and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Marshall Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor John Holmes officiating. There will be no formal visitation for Mrs. Marshall.
