Ruby Lucille Farmer Hawks

Mrs. Ruby Lucille Hawks, 83, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. 

Mrs. Hawks was born in Statesville, NC to the late Troy E. Farmer and Virginia Lucille Farmer on July 2, 1941. She retired from Microfibers in 1992. 

Mrs. Hawks was an avid gardener and loved to work puzzles, but most importantly she loved to play with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruby accepted Christ when she was nine years old and served Him faithfully her entire life. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Hawks.

She is survived by daughters, Diane Gibson (Henry), Rebecca Rush (Norman), and Reta Ellis (Darrin); sons, David Hawks and Dwyane Hawks (Sarah); eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Parklawn Memorial Park.
