Ruby Bare Covington

Ruby Bare Covington, 84, passed away at her home on June 11, 2015. She was born on September 22, 1930 to Everette Leonard Bare and Lessie Marie Bare in Ashe County. Ruby retired from Drs. M.M. and W.J. Miller with 22 years of service. In 1996 she was employed by Colfax Welding, Inc. as Secretary/Treasurer and worked until retirement. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Wyndal Robert Covington. Surviving are 3 children, Deborah D. Therrell of Indian Land, SC, Guy Eugene Duncan, Jr. and wife, Sandy of Winston-Salem, and John Wesley Duncan of Winston-Salem; also, 3 grandchildren, Sandra Locklair, Forrest Duncan, and Christopher Duncan; two great granddaughters, Emily Rose Locklair and Emma Duncan; and a brother, Joe L. Bare of Elkton, MD. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor David Stetler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
