Ruby Dowell Couch

Mrs. Ruby Irene Dowell Couch, 80 died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Couch was born November 11, 1928 in Wilkes County, a daughter of the late Raymond Dowell and the late Eva Pearl Dowell. She was retired from Forsyth Medical Center with 20 years of service and was a member of Vernon Forest Baptist Church. She was a hard working and loving mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James ""Buck"" Couch, Sr. in 1976, and her son Jimmy Couch. She is survived bt her children, Robert ""June"" Couch, Jr., Michael Couch and wife Valerie, and Carol Whisenhunt, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Robert Hutchens officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Saturday at Haworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
