Mrs. Ruby Lee Beasley Chandler, 86, of Walkertown, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at Village Care of King. She was born July 14, 1929 in Stokes County to Mary Moss Beasley and Lucius Beasley. Mrs. Chandler was retired from North Forsyth High School after 20 years working in the cafeteria and was a faithful member of Northwoods Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul ""Pete"" Daniel Chandler, Sr.; one brother, Thomas Merrell Beasley and one granddaughter, Bridgette Chandler. Surviving are three daughters, Donna Hull (Gray) of Winston-Salem, Bonnie Collins (William) of Winston-Salem and Connie Peddle (Gene) of Westfield; two sons, Paul Chandler, Jr. (Linda) of Greensboro and Ronnie Chandler (Debbie) of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren, Dawn Williams, Dana Coe, Robert Collins, Jamie Jackson, Heather Dillon, David Long and Julie Chandler; 16 great grandchildren; one sister, Louise Welborn of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Frank Beasley of Rural Hall and Kenneth ""Cary"" Beasley of King and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Northwoods Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northwoods Baptist Church, 5204 Old Walkertown Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
