Ruby Hill Brown passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Lexington Health Care.  She was born March 17, 1925, in Stokes County to the late Grace and Charlie Hill.  After graduating from Nancy Reynolds High School, she attended Jones Business College.  She was a retired Federal Employee serving for the War Department, Veterans Administration, and retired from Social Security.  After retirement she was an active member of N.A.R.F.E. and volunteered at the Shepherd’s Center in Kernersville.  She was a member of Triad Baptist Church.  Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Zeno Brown.  She is survived by a sister-in-law, Wilma B. Hall; nephews, Reggie Hall, Rusty Hall, and Terry Brown; nieces, Linda Jones, Dawn Martin, Betty McNitt, Cathy York, Brenda Brown, and Jane Brown; also surviving are her special friends, Billy and Carolyn Beeson.  A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Rob Decker officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Triad Baptist Church, 1175 S. Main St. Kernersville, NC 27284 or Hospice of your choice.
