Roy Odell Ridings

Mr. Roy Odell Ridings, 38, of East Bend passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Hoots Memorial Hospital in Yadkinville. He was born June 4, 1970 in Forsyth County to Harold and Bertha Jones Ridings. Mr. Ridings was a 1989 graduate of Carver High School. He had worked for Merita Bakery and was presently employed by Dairy Fresh. He loved to hunt and fish and was a wonderful husband, father and friend to all. Survivors include his wife, Tracey Fennell Ridings, his son, Zachery Edell Ridings and his daughter, Sierra Leslie-Ann Ridings all of the home; his parents of Winston-Salem; his sister, Kimberly Basham and husband, Lowell of Winston-Salem; his brother, Billy Ridings and wife, Kim of Clemmons and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery in East Bend. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a special trust fund for Roy's son and daughter.
