Mr. Roy Clark Jordan, 91, of Kernersville, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015. He was born May 28, 1923, son of Rufus C. and Viola Joyner. Mr. Jordan was a member of First United Church of Christ. He was retired from Western Electric where he was manager of maintenance and security. Roy served as president of the North Carolina Works Federal Credit Union (now Truliant) from 1973-1980. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Hill, Martha Tuttle, Lottie Dull; and brother, Charles F. Jordan. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Juanita Cline Jordan; daughters, Judy Hanlon (Carl), and Lu Ann Boles (Joe); a sister, Loretta Welch; six grandchildren Kristi Adams, Derek Boles, Carl Hanlon, II, Keith Hanlon, Kevin Hanlon, and Kim Allison; and twelve great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, January 10, 2014 at First United Church of Christ with the Rev. Christa Warise officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. There will be a private burial. Memorials may be made to Kate B.
