Roy Terry Idol

KERNERSVILLE - Roy Terry Idol, 68, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born April 24, 1941 in Forsyth Co. to the late Roy and Frances Westmoreland Idol. Terry was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army and retired from United Parcel Service ""UPS"". Terry was a member of the Quail Farm Beagle Club in Mebane. In addition to his parents was preceded in death by his first wife, Reba Haynes Idol; son-in-law, Dwight Allen; and step-father, Roy Reavis. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Myers Idol of the home; one daughter, Tonya Allen; one grandson, Jordan Allen both of Kernersville; two brothers, Richard Idol of Winston Salem, Joseph Idol of Kernersville; one sister, Deedee McDaniel of Winston Salem; and a very special niece, Kim Myers. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harry Sammons officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, August 14, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be made to Pisgah United Methodist Church, 2165 Pisgah Church Rd., Kernersville, NC 27284. Special thanks to special people at Select Specialty Hospital and Forsyth Medical Center.
