Ms. Rosemary Wood Fulk, 83 of Kernersville, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born February 9, 1925 in Forsyth County to the late Erastus Jones and Margaret Newsome Wood. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Lucient Technologies with 27 years of service. She loved to bake and cook and was a loving mother and grandmother. Ms. Fulk was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jack Wood, a sister, Betty Tesh, son-in-law, Gary Alford, Sr, and a brother in law, Phonso Stone. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Alford and Margaret Yokeley; two grandchildren; Gary Alford, Jr., Tracie Brinkley, three great grandchildren; Jennifer Alford, Heather Alford, Justin Ball, two great-great grandchildren; Logan Kiger and Lorali Warren, a sister; Tommie Devinney and husband, Jim, a brother; Kenneth Wood and wife, Carlene and a number of nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Barry Clemment officiating. Entombment will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends from11:30-1:00 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home/ Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103.
