Mrs. Rose Vita Alonge Pratesi, 97, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Bermuda Commons. She was born November 5, 1915 in Brooklyn, NY to Vincenzo and Rosalia Tavormina Alonge. Mrs. Pratesi was of the Catholic faith. She worked at Macy's in New York and was a bookkeeper for the family business. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry Pratesi; a brother, Dominic Alonge; and two sisters, Antoinette Tummarello and Anne Falbo. Surviving are two sons, Thomas Vincent Pratesi of Clemmons and Richard Edward Pratesi of Florida; two daughters, Linda Coarse of Texas and Rosalie Pratesi of Clemmons; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Jon E. Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Hospice, 1007 Lex Ave., Thomasville, NC 27360 or Kate B.
