Rose Safrit Moser

Mrs. Rose Marie Safrit Moser, 88, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at her home. She was born April 6, 1925 in Forsyth County to Henderson and Lollie Powell Safrit. She was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church, where she used her professionally trained voice in the church choir. She was a founding partner of Triangle Warehouse. She worked as a buyer for McCall's Linen Shop for over 15 years and enjoyed gardening . Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Moser in 1991, a brother, Lee Safrit, a sister, Joyce Moore and a granddaughter, Valerie Moser. Surviving are two sons, Jack Henderson Moser (Jean), David Franklin Moser (Beverly); six grandchildren, Brian, Chelsea, Michael, Travis, Leah and Nicholas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM., Saturday at Augsburg Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Ronald A. Rinn and Rev. Daniel Pugh officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center, where light refreshments will be served. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at Forsyth Memorial Park, where the family will participate in covering the grave and anyone in attendance may assist them. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Augsburg Lutheran Church Choir Fund, 845 W. Fifth Street, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27101 or to Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103.
