Rose Marie Stanley Pierce

Rose Marie Stanley Pierce, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

She was born in Winston-Salem, NC on October 4, 1941 to Charles, Sr. and Rebecca Stanley.

Rose was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed 35 years of marriage with the love of her life, James “Jimmy” Worley Pierce, Sr. who preceded her in death September 13, 1995. She loved her family and demonstrated that love through acts of service. Rose’s love and devotion for her family stemmed from her faith and love in Christ. She was at her happiest when she could work, serve, and take care of others.

Rose leaves behind her four children: James (Linda), LaDonna, Daniel (Tracy), and John (Tanya); her nine grandchildren: Amy, Zach (Shelbi), Heather, Brandon (Kristen), Bethany (Logan), Hannah, Micah, Evelyn, and Charis; her eight great grandchildren: Madyson, Benjamin, Abigail, Emerson, Greylyn, Eleanor, Adaline, and Charlotte.

Rose will be greatly missed, but all who knew and loved her will remember her for her sense of style, infectious laugh, good homestyle cooking, and her sassy southern charm.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Green Meadows Baptist Church in Mocksville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Internment will immediately follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
